Message for 7-18-2016

I had a very difficult time going to sleep last night and when I finally did I had a very intense and vivid dream.

The lesson that was received was this:

It will all work out.

God is in charge.

Even though it does not currently appear so, walk towards what you think is right and the way will reveal itself.

There is a solution.

Do not remain still. Do not be immobile. All will be revealed but only if you act. Act with calmness, trusting always in God.

Listen constantly for God’s voice, especially now. Now is a time of narrow paths and deep chasms, so it is very important to listen closely.

Trust implicitly in God at this time. This is the time of winnowing. Only those who are awake will be rescued.

Be alert at all times for your call to help others. Remain a beacon of calm. Your mindfulness and centeredness is the salve for the wounds of the world. It comes from God – never forget that.

God says
I am with you.
I am acting.
Trust.
Remember.
Shalom.

The sheep and the goats

“The Son of Man will sit on the throne of his glory when he comes in triumph and all the holy angels will be him. All the people of the world shall be gathered before him, and he will separate them in the same way that a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. He will place the sheep on his right and the goats on his left. Then the King shall say to the sheep, ‘You who are blessed by my Father in heaven, come into the kingdom that has been prepared for you since the beginning of the world.

This is because when I was hungry you gave me food. When I was thirsty you gave me something to drink. When I was a stranger you made me feel welcome. When I was naked you clothed me. When I was sick you took care of me, and when I was in prison you visited me.’

Then those who are righteous will reply, ‘Lord, when did we do all these things?’ And the King will answer, ‘Be assured, whatever you did to take care of the poorest member of my kingdom, you did to me.’

Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Get away from me, you cursed ones, and go into the eternal fire that is reserved for the devil and his minions!

For when I was hungry, you left me to starve. When I was thirsty you gave me nothing to quench my thirst. When I was a stranger you ignored me. When I was naked you didn’t share your clothes. When I was sick and in prison and you didn’t take care of me.’

Then they too will answer, ‘Lord when did we see you and not do these things?’ Then he will answer them, ‘Be assured, whatever you did not do to take care of the poorest member of my kingdom, you did not do for me either.’

And then they will go away to their eternal punishment, but the righteous will go into everlasting life.”

Jesus is my map

Jesus is my map.

He’s my goal and my guide.

He’s what I use to measure myself and the message of others. How do I and they line up with the message? If they say they are preaching correctly, he is how I know. But I have to be immersed in the Word to recognize the Word.

I separate the wheat from the chaff this way. It is how I know who is true and who is false. Sadly, I’ve even had to use this with ministers. Sadly, the people that I was supposed to be able to trust were the ones who were leading me astray.

I am for every Christian reading the Gospels for themselves, so that they can discern for themselves whether their minister is leading them correctly. To be even more honest, I’m for every Christian becoming a minister themselves. I’m for everyone waking up to the fact that God made them with a mind to be used.

We are not sheep. Jesus has redeemed us, has freed us. And he now guides us home, together.
